About PICC line and Midline Certificate Program

This comprehensive, small group, hands-on training teaches to insert PICC line and midline catheters with modified Seldinger technique (MST). This continuing education program is developed according to globally recognized infusion therapy standards of practice developed by the Infusion Nurses Society (INS). Training consists of didactic session, demonstration, supervised insertion, and testing as recommended by the INS.
Upon successful completion of the 2-day PICC insertion class, attendees obtain a certificate of completion and are qualified to commence supervised insertion and competency validation in any clinical settings according to the facility’s policy and procedures.
Prerequisites: Attendees require peripheral IV skills and knowledge of central line care and maintenance.
