About Educational Programs

About Educational Programs

ITI education programs rely on scientific information, Infusion Nurses Society's (INS) Standards of Practice, Infusion Nursing Evidence-Based Approach, Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines and the expertise of our educators with an average 30 years of hands-on experience in acute and  alternate care settings.

ITI educators are CRNI and VA-BC certified, have extensive experience in infusion therapy nursing and continue to practice as vascular access nurses in major academic medical centers.

CNE contact hours are approved by the Illinois Nurses association (INA), an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on accreditation (ANCC).

Criteria for successful completion of CNE programs require attendance for the entire activity, post test as required, and submission of completed evaluation. Certificate of completion with contact hours are awarded up on successful completion of each program.

Preceptor Program

According to The Joint Commission, the competency assessment looks at whether the clinical staff has the skills to perform the assigned job duties. Competency must be assessed by staff who understands the skills and knowledge required by the job responsibilities. Your company's core competencies help define and sustain your competitive advantage.

If your staff need training, competency assessment or vascular access skill validation, we are available to mentor,  precept and validate skills at your facility. Incorporate skill validation as a part of the customized on-site program.

Skill check lists are developed according to manufacturer’s instructions, INS standards of practice and CDC guidelines and customized according to the organization’s policy and procedures.
